A Mother’s Morning Basket (Summer)

Happy first day of Summer! Summertime is the best time to gather together a morning basket just for yourself! Our homeschool days are slower and more relaxed. So I am finding more quiet time to rest and read during these long summer days.

I try to gather books and items that make me slow down and reflect to inspire my day.

Here is what I rotate in mine:

My Bible + Journal + Pen

Mother Culture

Introverted Mom

Whispers of Rest

Teaching From Rest

The Better Mom Devotional

The Book That Takes Its Time

The Unhurried Homeschooler

Anything by Sally Clarkson 😉

Clary Calm Women’s Blend roller bottle

Wild + Free (latest bundle)

Magnolia Journal (latest issue)

Now store everything away in a basket beside your favorite chair.

Don’t forget your favorite essential oil! Doterra’s clary calm is a MUST for us mamas!

I light a soy candle or turn on my diffuser and grab a cup of coffee.

Lemon + Lavendar + Peppermint is usually in the diffuser during allergy season.

Do you have a busy summer planned with no quiet time in sight? Dump your basket into a tote to store in your car for long trips.

Or to take to the pool!

Even on my busiest days, I try to squeeze in some “me” time with a quick devotional!

This devotional on motherhood is my favorite!

Even though it doesn’t fit in my morning basket, I still keep this book beside our breakfast table. The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady is so good. It is quickly becoming my favorite! The writing and illustrations by Edith Holden are beautiful. Her diary, from 1906, captured her observations of the English countryside’s changing seasons. Goes great with coffee.

Take a peek inside!

What are you reading this summer?
