We had a dusting of snow today in Middle Tennessee.
The children are out trying to catch snowflakes on their tongue. I’m cuddled under blankets by the fire, shivering and struggling to stay warm. My body was definitely not made for winter weather. I’m trying my best to embrace this season we are in. Where daylight is too short and the cold nights are too long.
As much as I may fight it, busy bodies like me need a quiet season to stop and slow down. To enjoy the little things like cardinals on the bare branches, extra snuggles from the kids, warm coffee in the morning sun, afternoon naps by the fire, and lots of time to read.
While I have a quiet house, I thought I’d share our winter weather reads.
What are your favorite snowy day books and warm socks in January?
