At 9:00am we gather “family style” for Enrichment Studies
(we meet for 30-50 minutes depending on their curiosities)

We will loosely follow the Simply Charlotte Mason Enrichment Studies Volume 1 Guide for our morning time. I’ve tweaked their resource list a tiny bit. (Swapped an artist, dropped Shakespeare since he’s in our poetry book, 2 poets vs 1…)
We will loop through the following:
Bible study and copywork: Playful Pioneers and a stack of children’s bible stories

Habits: Laying down the rails
Hymn Study: Singing the Great Hymns

Poetry: 2 poets: Stevenson and Longfellow, along with my favorite poetry book for children

Music study: 3 composers: Bach, Chopin, and Beethoven

Picture Study: 3 artists: Rembrandt, Gainsborough, and Constable
Handcrafts: hand sewing/weaving, pastels, crochet (not pictured)

Foreign Language: Spanish (still hunting this one down, in the meantime we will use this cute pack of flash cards I found at #targetdollarspot )
We usually have breakfast #2 during this hour since my children get hangry. I also give them something to do with their hands. Like madmattr, thinking putty, wikkistix, fidgets, etc…
